What is this tool

AudioToolKit changes the volume of any audio file online for free, in your browser. Apply exact gain between -24 and +24 dB to make a quiet voice note louder or tame a hot mix, with clamping so the file does not clip. The processed track downloads as MP3 or WAV, and the file never leaves your device — no install, no account, no upload.

Why use this free tool

A voice note that is too quiet, a track that sits too low in a mix — exact gain in dB fixes both. The volume changer scales the whole file, clamped so it does not clip.

Frequently asked questions

What is a good boost?

+6 dB is a clear lift; +12 dB is large. If the source is already hot, boost less to avoid clipping.

Difference from Normalize?

Volume applies a fixed gain. Normalize measures the file and scales it to a target loudness automatically.

Local processing?

Yes, in your browser.
