What is this tool

AudioToolKit boosts the bass of any track online for free, in your browser. A low-shelf lift from 120 Hz down adds low-end punch, so kicks and bass lines hit harder on small speakers and car systems while mids and highs stay clean. Set the boost from 0 to 18 dB and download the result as MP3 or WAV, with no upload and no install.

Why use this free tool

Some mixes sound thin on small speakers and car systems. The bass booster applies a low-shelf lift from 120 Hz down, so kicks and bass lines hit harder while the mids and highs stay clean.

Frequently asked questions

Will it distort at high levels?

The effect is a filter, so no new distortion is added, but very hot mixes can clip. If you hear harshness, lower the level.

Which genres benefit most?

Hip-hop, house, EDM and rock — anything with a low-end-heavy mix. Vocals-first tracks usually need only a light touch.

Is there a preset for a milder boost?

Yes. The bass boost presets offer five levels from very light to extreme.
