What is this tool

AudioToolKit pans audio online for free, in your browser. Move a stereo track fully left, fully right, or to any position in between — -1 is full left, 0 is center, +1 is full right. Use it to place instruments in a mix, build a wide arrangement, or center a voice for a mixdown. The panned file downloads as MP3 or WAV, and processing never leaves your device.

Does it work on mono files?

Mono has no stereo image, so panning has no audible effect on it.

Is this the same as auto-pan?

No — this sets a fixed position. Auto Panner animates the position over time.
